Drawing Fruits With Shapes

Description:

This tutorial contains full guide for making fruits in swishmax. You can use these fruits in combine design but the major advantage of this tutorial is that you can use these fruits in different ways, in different designs. Because everything is separate. I will teach you everything one by one.

So lets get started!

1. Watermelon:

In this design we will make two designs, one in side-pose and second from front.

Side-pose:

Design & colours:

1. Draw an ellipse and select "Reshape Tool". Now move the dots in shape like half moon.

2. Select "Radial Gradient" from the "shape" tab located on the right hand.

3. Apply the same colours that I applied.

4. Make another ellipse for its base but it should be green because the outside of melon is always green+yellow. Fix the orange coloured ellipse over the green.

5. Now we are going to make seeds. First draw an ellipse and reshape it (if you want, reshape is not compulsory in that step). Then make it radial gradient. Follow the image:

Front-pose:

Design & colours:

1. Draw an ellipse and reshape it like half moon. Make it "Radial Gradient". Make an other ellipse and also reshape it but that should be like the shape named" base" in the image. So the method is that first make an ellipse like half moon then put it on the ellipse that we designed for the base, at last copy this half moon shape of ellipse and paste one by one as I made and just make their colours a bit different. Also apply the same method that I applied in that image:

2. Banana:

In this we will make 3 layers for inner and 2 layers of out layer.

Design & colours:

1. Draw an ellipse and reshape it. Also select the "Radial Gradient" from the "Shape" tab. In the following image you can see words "1st, 2nd and 3rd layer" these are reshaped ellipses. In this image you can look the 2 ellipses reshaped one is cover and second is material so that I fixed them one by one. You can stretch the shadow to give it twisted look, you don't need to change the colours just you have to follow the image:

3. Orange:

Design & Colours:

That's very simple, we will just make a base then we will start work over it. Then will make small ellipses and will put over the base. The leaf is so simple its just "Radial Gradient" and you have to choose the same colours that I chosed and then reshape it. Its up to you that what tool you use for the stick but I have used the ellipse tool for that but if you think that bezier tool is OK then use it. Follow the image:

4. Pear:

Its also simple, we will make a base like we made for the orange and then the same method but shape will be different.

Design & Colours:

1. Draw an ellipse for the base. Reshape it by using reshape tool and then make it "Radial Gradient" from the "shape" tab.

2. The dots are simply made with ellipse and the colours are same that I have applied. The base colour and the dots colour is same. Follow the image:

5. Strawberry:

We will make a base first and then will work over it.

Design & colours:

1. Draw an ellipse and and reshape it as I reshaped it and then choose some sharp colours for it. It will be better if you use the same colours that I have applied.

2. The leaf is the same that we have recently made but it's a bit small and colour is different.

Demonstration of the design:

Now this design is complete but we have to fix all the fruits, one by one. I have copied and pasted the fruits but you can also change their directions and make another design. You can change the colour of a fruit with the help of "Tint" tab. It will give you the simple option to change the colours easily. I have made some tissues under the fruits but you can also make any other thing that you wish.
