Creative Logo Creation

In this tutorial you will learn how to create a simple, creative, basic, logo.

1. Open a new project with a white background 500x350 pixels.

2. Select the Horizontal Type Tool...

3. Set your colors to the default black and white. Select a font that is thin. Set your font size to a really large size, well larger then 72pts. Now, click in the project area, and type the capital letter "O".

4. In your layers box, duplicate that text layer.

5. Now make the color of the duplicated letter "O" white. It should look something like this.

6. Click on the movement tool.

7. Now, with the white "O" layer selected, click and drag it to your desired location. Sometimes its better if you rotate the white layer just little to get the amount of thickness of black you want.

Note: If you would like to add a style to this, you will need to save this part before you go on with anything else. Save it as a jpeg, then re-open it and grab that magic wand and click the white... The right click and "Select Inverse". Now, ctrl+c that bad boy and paste it on another canvas. Now you can add a style to it.

8. You can now work with the space in the middle and finish your logo.
