This tutorial demonstrates how to create a simple Flyer Cover like this.
All you need for this
you may take here (artwork and fonts).
We will start with the background.
Create a new transparent
document having the size
300 pixels wide x 385 pixels high. Your fill color should be white. Add gradient to layer (Layer > Layer Style > Gradient Overlay...). Use colors #FFFFFF - #CCE0FA - #FFFFFF as shown on the image below.

Add stroke (Layer > Layer Style > Stroke...) with the color #CCE0FA and blend 33%. View image below.

You should have something like this:

Now it's time to add your art work. With the help of Type Tool (T) I added my "?" question mark (I used font size 500px, color #ECF6FE, font family "ft73").
Then move on to add the artwork logo ipod. Then TemplateMonster logos. For this I just dragged the artwork to my working area (background).
You will end up with something like the image below.
Now it's time to prepare your fonts. Write the needed texts using Type Tool (T). I used "Steelfish" font for the followint texts: "Web Design Library"(size 36px, colors #3391B5 and #DC5B01); "Webdesign Awards", "Interviews", (size 30px, color #3391B5); "Site of the Day", "Webdesigh Showcase"(size 30px, color #CCCCCC); "Site of the Month", "Animation of the Month", "Usability of the Month" (size 30px, color DC5B01). Apply the Drop Shadow effect and stroke to all texts as shown below. (Layer > Layer Style > Drop Shadow..., Layer > Layer Style > Stroke...)

Add stroke to the outside of chosen font.

Drag fonts to achieve pretty-looking flyer.
You will end up with something like the image below.

Now using font face "Freestyle Script" make few more fonts("Magazine", "Beginners Guide", "Win"). I used font size 38px and font color #FFFFFF. Effects are the same as in the previous case, but I used stroke color #3391B5.
You may see the final result on the image below:

In the second part of the tutorial you will learn how to convert this flyer into a 3D magazine cover, as shown below..
