Step 1
Create a "Leaf" or "Blossom" like pattern.
On a new file and make sure that it's a transparent layer too!!!
Step 2
After you've made your blossom, select it and go to "edit -> define brush"
Step 3
Now open a new layer (with settings "Content") white as a background color.. Just because its nicer to work on a white canvas rather than a transparent one.
When you "define brush" what you just did was create a new brush that can be used and selected from your brush box.
Create a new layer on top of the locked white BG and choose the new brush you've just created
Then go to the brush properties box to change the brush settings.
Select the following:
"shape dynamics"
"scattering"
"smoothing"
For:
Shape Dynamics
Size jitter: 51%
Minimum diameter: 9%
Angle Jitter: 41%
Roundnss Jitter: 27%
Minimum Roundness: 25%
For:
Scattering
Scatter: 455%
Count: 3%
Count Jitter: 0%
And you don't need to set option for "smoothing".
Step 4
Palette that case will be using, you can choose whatever colors you'd like but remember that shadows are "cool" colors such as blue, purple green" etc..
And shadows themselves usually have a tiny of blue.
So after you've blessed with the brush settings, blossom away!!!
What I did for number "6" was blurred it a bit using the "Blur tool" then used the "dodge tool" (with midtone's " as settings).
