Sparkles

This tutorial will show you a quick and easy method to render sparkles for your everyday needs. =)

1. New Document
Make a new document. Fill it with black. Make sure that the document you are making is a square.

2. Apply Plastic Wrap
Go to Filters>Artistic>Plastic Wrap. Apply the settings as follows: Repeat two times.

3. Apply an Unsharp Mask
Go to Filters>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask. Use these settings:

4. Screening
To have this on an object, simply move the object layer below the sparkle one, and set the sparkle layer to screen. Screen will make the blackness disappear, and only the white and shades of white pass through.
